is it worth it buying an official leather football ?
I want to buy a new football but i was wandering, how do the replicas e.g. http://www.eastbay.com/catalog/productdetail/model_nbr–82336/sku–01580585/cm–TnDdFootballEquipmentP/ stack up against something like Wilsons GST ball http://www.eastbay.com/catalog/productdetail/model_nbr–36120/sku–1003/cm–TnDdFootballEquipmentP/ or any other official football?
The GST is composite leather, i.e.synthetic leather. For what it’s worth, I have had composite footballs puncture within 10 minutes of using them.
A genuine leather ball would be much more durable.
It will be more expensive up front, but will be less expensive in the long run since you won’t have to replace it too often.
